A healthy variation of dosa that uses Dalia/Cracked wheat as the main ingredient instead of Rice along with udad dal.
Ingredients
2 cup Dalia/Craked Wheat (Soaked for 6 hrs)
1 1/2 cup Udad dal (Soaked for 6 hrs)
1 cup Rice (Soaked for 6 hrs)
1 tsp Fenugreek(Methi) seeds (Soaked for 6 hrs)
1/4 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
Salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Wash and soak dalia, udad dal, rice and fenugreek (methi) seeds for 6 hours.
Step 2
Drain the water, put the all the mixture of dalia, udad dal, rice and methi seeds in a mixer jar along with salt, asafoetida and little water and grind this into a paste.
Step 3
Take the batter in a bowl. Cover the batter and keep it aside for 30 mins.
Step 4
Heat a pan/tava and spread on the pan, starting from center.
Step 5
Cook till brown and crisp on one side, no need to cook the other side.
Step 6
Serve hot.
