A perfect starter to serve at parties, these Raw Banana Crispies are so crisp and tasty it is difficult to guess that raw bananas and not potatoes are used to make it. With no-onion, no-garlic tomato sauce or any other spicy dip, these delectable crispies feel really good on the plate - especially in the company of your best friends.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup raw bananas (parboiled and diagonally cut)
To Be Mixed Together Into A Batter ( Using 3/4 Cup Of Water)
3/4 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cornflour
1/2 tsp green chilli (paste)
1/2 chilli powder
salt to taste
Other Ingredients
finely crushed corn flakes for rolling
oil for deep-frying
For Serving
tomato ketchup
Instructions
Step 1 Dip each banana piece in the prepared batter and roll in the cornflakes till it is evenly coated from all the sides.
Step 2 Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few banana pieces at a time, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
Step 3 Serve immediately with tomato ketchup.
